Having builders sort through multiple packers to find the right size to fit the window gap and then run out of the size required, levering the window sill up and down to get it true, fitting more and more packers, it just took forever and the end result was lots of wasted time, wasted product, wasted money and a compromised finish.
Ian and Brett concluded there must be an easier, quicker and more accurate way to pack a gap… and Wedgee was born.
The goal was to produce a packer that is fast, efficient, accurate and minimalistic with interchangeable components.
Extensive testing and fantastic feedback over many months confirmed that this is the best window / door packer available.
Ian French completed his boat building / boilermaking trade in 1986 and later moved into the roofing industry. Managing a roll forming plant and owning and operating a roofing installation business. Ian has managed construction and safety businesses too which has given him an appreciation for time management and accuracy required in the building industry.
